i'm not so sure. i'm getting a nice laptop for sure. i'm a windows user but my dad has a powerbook and it's really really nice. and it looks perfect for college. i'm just not so sure i fi can do the switch or if it will be practical.

I am looking at getting a PC instead of a Apple. A 17" would probably be too big and a pain to carry around in college, right?

nextyearincalifornia, cleaver.... i never thought about just getting the smaller 12" and getting the separate upgrades to make it better than the 15" for a similar final price.....but i really really really wanted the backlit keyboard.

dcrono... if you get the 17 inch, it will sit idly in your dorm. definitely too cumbersome.
