I've been a PC/Windows user for all my life but have recently been interested in switching to Mac. One of the only things that would preventme from doing this is if, for some reason, Tufts isn't a good place for Macs. I'm not a computer guy, so bear with me, but I've heard things about how Macs can sometimes be incompatible at certain schools.

Can someone tell me how life is for Mac users at Tufts, and if the switch to Mac is worth it?

I'd say about 50% of the student body owns personal Mac desk or laptops... About 40% of the on-campus computers are Macs. You can totally switch -- I did.

yes, I would say Tufts is Mac-friendly. the computer labs have Macs. The reason my dad went with Dell, though, is because of the 24 hour Dell service or whatever. I've gotten a keyboard replaced in less than a day because of it, which was reallllly useful.

Tufts is mac-friendly, and most of the computer labs on campus have macs. Plus the software you'll need for class (ie office) will work on both these days.

However, as Bluirinka pointed out, the Dell Warranty is very helpful.
