<p>what matters most for games is latency (how long the data takes) which isnt that much lower on I2 than it is from a good connection to a good server.</p>
<p>The games dont care if you have 2gb/second as long as you have enough for the game (which is in the Kb). If the game demands a 28.8 modem (like a majority do), you will be able to transfer all the data needed for the game with less than 4KB/s (though modems have really high latency). That is why you can download things and play games at the same time with no real ill effects (unless the download is flooding your connection).</p>
