I'm a business major (incoming freshman) and have seen the new laptop recommendations...and they prefer a dell, but macbooks are acceptable. The Dell is more expensive, and I prefer using a Macbook, would this be a bad idea or should I just pay the extra money and get what Clemson prefers?

If macbooks are acceptable, I would get a macbook since the business major will let you have a mac and you are more comfortable with that. It probably just means that you will need to get windows on your mac (clemson provides that for free once you get on campus)

kinda a stupid question but do you know any business majors that have a macbook? i asked around and most if not all recommend PC’s

I have no idea haha, I’ve never connected business majors to the type of computer that they own.

It seems that they prefer PC’s especially the Fujitsu Lifebook T30. However, a macbook would definitely still be ok.
