Computing and Art major

My school has a computing and art major. I'm wondering whether getting this degree would be of any value, or whether employers would kind of just stare at it.

I'm interested in computer science and art. The computing and art major is a combination of computer science and art courses. I enjoy programming and drawing, but I'm not as interested in the math-intensive/theoretical parts of CS.

I'm not sure whether the computing and art major deals with high end graphics, which would be very math-intensive, or just a sense of aesthetic design. What do you guys think? Especially, could a computing and art major freelance in doing website development / GUI development? (and make a decent salary at it?)

It can help in terms of UI or game development, but you’ll still want to take enough of the usual CS courses for general coverage of commonly used CS concepts like algorithms and complexity, operating systems, networks, software engineering, databases, and security. That way, you won’t be limited to UI or game development jobs if desirable ones are not available at the time you are looking.
