Does anyone know about this degree? IF so, will a person be able to find a good job from it? Here is the webpage for it UW Bothell - University of Washington Bothell - Bachelor of Science

We discussed this in an earlier thread...its a little bit more of an "IT" degree than a "Computer Science" degree and there isn't much low-level or hardware involved in the curriculum. You will have no problem at all finding a job after getting a degree from the UW Bothell.

There appears to be a requried hardware course dealing with computer architecture and assembly language and also seems to include elective courses on embedded systems. Are these similar to other computer science programs? I did look at other cs programs in washington state and this UW Bothell program seems to cover most of these topics: discrete structures, data structures, algorithms, software engineering, operating systems, computer networks, programming languages, artificial intelligence 1-2 hardware courses but perhaps not in as much depth.

The UWB program will prepare you well for a career in the software industry, I can assure you of that. Just make sure you take some initiative in your own hands, write programs independently, or find internships. The research opportunities will not be so big though, which isn't ideal if you want to go to graduate school.

The UW Seattle CS program is much more well known but also very competitive. UWB's program is not as well known but their students still get good jobs and you'll get a similar education i'm sure.
