ComSci/EngPhy Double Major?

I'm a high school senior. I'm planning on going into nuclear engineering, and planning on a PhD (I know I'm a bit young to decide...don't need that lecture =D).

The most common undergraduate degree for nuclear engineering is engineering physics where I'm going, the University of Michigan. Since I'm planning on getting a PhD, would a double major including computer science with my engineering physics degree be worth it? I'm interested in computer science, and could in theory complete both degrees in four years. The BS in ComSci would be from UM-Flint and the BS in EngPhy (most important degree for nuclear engineering) would be from UM-Ann Arbor.

A CS degree probably won’t help you very much in nuclear engineering.

Don’t bother with the CS degree - it won’t help you. You can take it for pleasure, if you want - but college is a lot tougher than HS. Don’t underestimate the rigor of completing two degrees. Trust me.

Also, why are you thinking about getting a PhD at … just kidding  Had to throw it in there.
