When do students typically begin preparing for the LSAT? My D plans to go straight from Undergraduate graduation into Law School. She is a sophmore right now. She wants to jump into an LSAT prep class this summer so she can take the test this fall, even though she’ll only be a junior. Does she need to take it this early? Thanks for any advice!!

Law school is not a lucrative career…I’m still going. I’ll be a junior this fall and I’m studying for the LSAT now. I start a prep. Course on the 18th and I’m completely nervous the 1300 bucks won’t be worth it. But the reality is that I have to put in effort not money. The course recommends 2 hours of study time for every one hour of class time! The class is 4 hours long twice a week. Do people honestly believe that the one’s preparing for the LSAT don’t here about the market? My friend graduated 2 years ago and passed the bar last year. He just got a job in NY. So I’m well aware of the situation.

You might consider downloading apps for your phone so you can study in your free time. the one below has discussion forums and solution guides for every question. It also includes practice questions from previous LSAT’s direct from LSAC. It has really been helpful

Guys how would you rate the Manhattan prep and its books in comparison to Powerscore etc?

Hey guys! I’m currently a Junior at UCLA and am hopefully going to take the June LSAT. I’m hesitant to dish out $1500 for a course. Has anyone used any of the apps in the itunes store to study? i’ve heard of lsatmax. Anyone have any experiences with it?

I’m enrolled in the Velocity course and I’m already improving greatly in Games and Reading Comp. FZacharyJ, you should explore some online options.

I took the Blueprint course in Boston and my instructor was Joshua Loveall. I also did private tutoring with him which was great for reinforcing the lessons from the course and working on the material I found to be most challenging. Joshua was a great instructor. He was extremely knowledgeable about all areas of the LSAT and explained the material in a way that made it easy to understand. He also had a good attitude and sense of humor that made studying for the LSAT as enjoyable as possible. My score increased by 13 points from my initial starting score.

The class is set up so that you complete 16 lessons going over every question type and possible situation you could see on the LSAT, 3 workshops to reinforce and practice the material, and 6 proctored practice exams. There is “homework” that goes along with the lessons and workshops as well. The class is very thorough and well organized. There are also lots of online resources you get access to when you take the course that I found to be very helpful as well.
