i was thinkng of managment or international business, anyone have more info on which each involves? maybe the pro's and con's of each? how do these compare to finance and accounting? which concentration are the most common among business majors? any recommendations?

international business is not viewed as a "real" major - you are better off picking another concentration (such as management, finance, or marketing) and double majoring or minoring in a foreign language or international studies

oh, okay..thanks. yeah it had international business listed among their concentrations. so between management, finance, account, marketing, etc. how would you rank them?

I've been told that management doesn't really mean much nowadays. I would say, based on what I have seen, that finance and marketing are the most useful/versatile

Accounting and Finance are the top two.

accounting and finance are the most practical with marketing coming in a close second. I wouldn't write international business off though, because the world is becoming more and more international every day... and the need for business people who have a background in doing business across cultural lines are going to be in high demand.

(I took a 2 credit international accounting class for May term, and it really opened my eyes to this reality.)
