Concentrations is a major?

So, I want to major in Asian Studies, and when I search majors on my school's website, Saginaw Valley State University and I get a list of concentrations, Asian Studies, Business Studies, European Studies, Latin American Studies, etc. everyone in the IS category needs to take the same 6 foundation courses (16ish credits I think), and then we take classes in our concentration (27 credits). Since there are more credits in the concentrations, does that mean that IS is just a category, and the concentration is the major? I know it's not the minor, the minor is separate (my minor is Japanese language). So basically what I'm asking, is am I in the category of IS, then when I take foundation courses and then Asian Studies classes, my major becomes an Asian Studies major? Thank you.

no your major is still IS
