Not to cause a stir but I heard a rumor that there was a mold issue in AMR II?

Can anyone give me insight or information?

Should a student with asthma be concerned?

Should a student with asthma be concerned?

You won’t find an answer here. From my perspective, it’s in your best interest to contact JHU housing and address your concern directly with them. They’ll give you the most up-to-date info on housing facilities and concerns you may have.

I have not heard anything of that nature… but that doesn’t say much.

Good luck!

I am hoping a student that lived there last semester will comment.

I am curious about this too. Have not read or heard anything about it though, and you would think with a bunch of pre-med students, any issue of this sort would be brought to light quickly…haha.

Anyone heard of this?

i havent heard anything about this… im not a freshman but i was on campus a lot this summer… lots of pre-college and summer program kids here, and i never heard any complaints.

I was a pre-college RA this summer in Adams and Baker, AMR II, and we didn’t experience any problems with mold…

Thank you Adam:

As I said at the beginning, I thought it was a rumor, but i wanted to hear from someone there that it was not an issue.

Thank you.

yes, the AMRs have a mold problem. freshman with asthma are usually switched to wolman or buildings A&B.

Buildings A&B aren’t all that clean either. I have severe asthma and put in a medical request so I was able to be placed into Wolman housing for this year.
