Concern over higher education affecting your vote for President?

I'm curious how many of you are taking the candidates' positions on higher education into account. If so, how important are their higher education policies in your decision-making process compared to other issues? Have you visited the candidates' websites or gather information from news or TV? I'd love to hear whether you're a student or parent as well. Thanks!

id be for a candidate that gets rid of federal loans and grants and regulations in those areas. College is so expensive today because of it.

Student loans used to be given to students by the school they went to via the schools endowment and the interest rate was usually sub 1%. All until govt stepped in and said, no. Colleges cant do this anymore, they started the federal programs and regulated private banks. Thus increasing the rates and the price of schools in general.

We plan to vote for a candidate who is very supportive of higher education and making great schools affordable for the middle class. It ranks high on our mind right now because we're sending twins off to school and expenses are tight. Luckily we really like the candidate's positions on domestic and world views as well.
