what do you guys think? do you know people who made berkeley with bad junior year grades? what's the most important aspect of admission to the college (hopefully not grades)?

Admissions at Nu are very holistic...people have gotten in with extremely low GPAs with extrodinary essays/activities/etc. So do your best on the entire app, and take the time to contact NU and visit the campus, if you can. Showing interest is very important. And remember, college admissions at these top schools are always a crapshoot, so even if you have the best or worst stats in the world, that doesn't guarentee that you'll be accepted or denyed.

I agree with rocketpixy. Don't worry about it so much; of course, don't completely forget about school, but if you keep your GPA up, you should be fine.
