I don't have much to put for in-school ECs except for:
1. World Relief Northview (11, 12) - founder, president; connects #1 in the second list.
2. Speech & Debate Team (9-12) - have not won many awards and am not very passionate about
3. National Honors Society (11,12)
4. a couple of volunteer clubs that i have no leadership position in and have not been active in for more than two years

The bulk of my nonacademic activity is outside of school.
1. World Relief Atlanta - volunteering for African refugees who have settled in Georgia - (10-12)
2. piano lessons and competitions (11 years, including all of high school)
3. Church youth group (7 years, including all of high school)
4. Youth Group Praise Team (keyboard) - (10, 12)
5. Homeless Ministry - serving lunch to homeless, talking to them and praying for them. We go once a month and I also have a leadership position.
6. World Changers - summer mission program where you repair homes in underprivileged cities. This summer i helped rebuild a roof. - (11)

ALL of the things I have been involved with outside of school, I am very passionate about and they have changed me in significant ways.

if i'm not really involved at school, but do a lot independently and am very community-oriented, does this weigh against me or for me in admissions?
