you then copy it and send it to other schools.

No the teachers will probably make many copies of them and put them inside an envelope so you can’t see what he/she wrote on it. You need to tell them how many you want.

Check with the GC. Each school can handle differently.

Some teachers use a link via the Common Application site after you have invited them as a recommender. Some fill it out by hand for postal delivery.

Check and see whether your school counselor and teachers do this electronically or manually.

I dont live in the US currently. Over here, it’s much more difficult. I dont think teachers could pay for the postage all the way to the US. I guess i’m going to have to send it myself

Give the teacher addressed and stamped envelopes for each of the schools unless the Guidance office sends them with the transcript and the GC recommendation.

Why? What’s so bad about me sending it? That will be the easiest thing for me to do

It goes against the principle of waivingyour right to read the recommendation. In general, by waiving your right, you are not cherry-picking the applications and the teachers are free to write an unbiased opinion of you. Just give them the envelopes that are already addressed with paid postage. That is the common way.

This is Africa. I really dont think it can work that way over here! It’s much more complicated. I’m sure the college will understand. It’s exceptionally difficult
