Concerns about applying to colleges as a transfer student

Hello, I am a community college student in Maryland. I am having a few concerns. I am worried about the possibility of getting rejected from every college that I plan on attending. I am in my second year at a CC. This has been bothering me for a while. I have not applied to any schools. I have a long way to go in terms of graduating. I probably won’t graduate until 2017 or 2018.

I have several schools in mind. Right now, my cumulative GPA is a 3.040. I have not engaged in any extracurricular activities at my community college (I’m not sure if that is required for transferring into four-year universities).

What are factors that could prevent me from getting into the colleges I apply to? Are there other things that I should be worried about?

I am thinking about applying to Towson University, University of Maryland in College Park, University of Baltimore, Morgan State University, etc.

I really need some guidance on this issue.

Google the Common Data Set for each and look at section D. I’m sure you’ll get into at least one.
