Concurrent/Dual Enrollment Grades

If I took a course at a community college and got a B in it as a high school student, will that grade appear on my university transcript. I took a course at a community college as a high school student, and got a B in it. I was just wondering if when I attend a university, will that grade be carried over and appear on that university’s transcript. Please note, I will be applying to a university as a freshman. I am just a little worried about that B appearing on my university transcript.

In most cases, transfer credit grades are not included in the receiving school records or GPA calculation.

However, all college courses and grades will be considered for subsequent transfer or graduate or professional school (e.g. law or medical school), regardless of whether any school accepted transfer credit or grades from a previous school.

Each college and university has its own policy about recording transferred credits. Some do. Most don’t include the grades, and instead have a note along the lines of “general biology 3 semester hours”. If you are worried, you can ask the places that you are applying to.

And frankly, if they will put that B on your transcript, it might not be such a horrible thing at all.
