Concurrent Majors with Supply Chain Management

Hi everyone,

I’m currently a freshman majoring in Supply Chain Management at Barrett, The Honors College at ASU. I have about two full semesters of general studies credis out of the way thanks to AP credits, and there are very few classes (6 or 7) pertaining to my actual major, leaving plenty of room for a double major opportunity.

Currently, I’m stuck between a Mathematics double major or a Psychology double major with Supply Chain. I equally like both math and psych (though I’ve never taken an actual psych class, despite my interest in it), and the number of required classes I would need to take are nearly identical.

I was wondering if anyone would be willing to share their opinions on this matter? Which would complement Supply Chain better? What would grant me more opportunities and open more doors for me down the road?

I need to make a decision by Friday, at latest Saturday.

Any helpful responses are appreciated.

Thank you.

If you like math double major in accounting will be a lot more useful with SC. I think math would be a waste and psyc though interesting is typically a waste unless you go on to get a mater’s in it.

The best complement to supply chain, in my opinion, would be statistics, computer science, or CIS. All these are very helpful within real-world applications of business modeling. Any major that gives you quantitative, logical, and computational skills will be very helpful, so if you’re only choosing between psych and math, go with Math. You can also minor in those fields as well.
