conditional admission

For some reason i got conditional admission to my school. They say i cant take more than 12 credits the first semester. Wont that put me back by a semester in graduation. Has this ever happen to anyone.

How many credits do freshmen usually take at your school first semester? At mine, we only take 16 which is only one class. I think you'll be okay... you could take a summer class or something later to make up for it if you wanted to.

Why were you given conditional admission? Are you on academic probation or an academic success program?

i dont know, i have a b+ overall. i dont what the heck is the problem. a b+ isnt that bad.

Maybe the university is trying to manage over crowding or something so they limited the number of frosh taking classes by handing out "conditional admits", thereby reducing the number of frosh taking classes in the fall. Similiar to schools with spring admits... they do it because more spots open up after fall semester. Just a wild guess, since your gpa seems good and they did let you in without explainign why you were conditional. Maybe you should go on the message board for your school and see how many others go the same deal. Regardless, it shouldn't affect you at all beyond your freshman year. Good luck.

Just call them and ask them why.
You said your overall was a B+... does this mean you got a grade of C- or D recently?
