Hi everyone... I am a student from Nepal. Currently I am studying in grade 12 and my grade 12 results will be out only after June. So I wrote a mail to Arkansas Tech University and the international admission officer says me to apply early and if i qualify they will admit as a conditional student. What is conditional admission? Its advantages and demerits?? Please help me out........Please please please....... I want to enroll in the US for fall 2010. Seniors please help me out. I have a percentage of 84 in grade 10 and 70.6 in grade 11. My TOEFL exam is on Jan 23 and ACT is on Feb 6. Which Uni will chance me in this condition that my 12 results will be out after July??? I am a bonafied student of my college in Nepal. I am in the top 1% of the class(usually I am ranked first in unit tests). Please help me out.......

“conditional” generally means you’ll have a spot awaiting you assuming that other issues (your ability to pay for the 4-5 years of the degree program, acquiring a US student visa, maintaining your grades & graduating, etc.) do not emerge that would otherwise bar your attending.

If you haven’t already done so, you should visit the US consulate immediately to initiate your student Visa. You’ll also need to prepare official statements of your ability to pay – but their international student adviser should be able to guide you with that.

Best of luck to you. If you get to Arkansas, know that it can get VERY hot.

thank you very much. I got a little bit familiar with the conditional thing but what i didnt get was does that thing have any disvantages that regular students dont have??
