Conditional Admittance Question

Hi,

I am currently a student at community college with an acceptance to UCSC in the Computer Science program this upcoming fall 2015. I am a bit confused about the Conditions of Admission Contract. What does it exactly mean that I am simply in “proposed major”? If i did not necessarily get into my major I applied for, how do I get into it and what are the chances I do? I also received an email before that saying:

“Congratulations! The Jack Baskin School of Engineering (BSOE) is pleased to admit you to the Computer Science major for fall 2015. Only highly qualified applicants have been selected for admission to the BSOE based on their self-reported academic record and preparation. Our decision to admit you to the major is contingent upon confirmation of this information when your official transcripts are received.”

Does that mean I am actually officially admitted as a CS major?

Another question I have about conditions of admission is that this website (http://admissions.ucsc.edu/apply/transfer-students/major-prep.html#cs) says I must complete concern classes before transferring to CS. Considering I have most of the classes complete but not all (CMPS 12A/L or CMPS 5J), does that mean my acceptance will automatically be rescinded? I would think that is not necessarily true since my Transfer Academic Update does not state anywhere that I would take those classes, yet I got accepted, so I just am not sure.

I am also wondering if all admission are “Conditional Admissions” or is it just under circumstances.

Thank you for your time
