Right now, I’m applying to the Academy as a college freshman. I was looking through the Instruction kit tonight, at the “Nominations and Appointment” section near the back. I noticed something a little confusing-They say that for LOA’s, a failing High School or College course will likely result in your offer being withdrawn. Then, under the Conditional Appointment section, it says that “the appointment will be condtional IF THE LATEST COLLEGE TRANSCRIPT IS NOT RECIEVED OR IS POOR”, then they say that a minimum GPA of 2.00/4.00 w/ no grades lower than C is required. Looking at these two sections and definitions, I’m kind of confused about the difference between the two. Are they two seperate offers of Appointment? It sure looks like that, my guess from reading those two things is that LOA’s can turn into Conditionals if your College transcript isn’t recieved or is poor (If they are indeed seperate). If anybody can shed some light on the issue that’d be great.
