conditional/unconditional admissions

hi,
i heard that in the US, in contrast to the UK, all admissions from universities are unconditional. as in once you're in, you're in. However, i got an 'offer' from UCLA but its conditional? they expect me to 'keep up my academic achievements'. i was wondering how strict is ucla in terms of if you drop a few grades (IB points) in your final exams. say i am predicted 40/45 points and i got admission. if in my finals i get maybe a 38, can UCLA revoke my application and deny me admission??

Even though it is not formally stated, all admissions in the US are conditional unless the applicant has already graduated from high school and has sent the final high school transcript as part of the application. Every year some students have their admissions offers rescinded because they have too many bad grades in the last semester.

You need to contact UCLA directly about the final IB scores that they require that you have. It is OK to ask. They will tell you.

UCs as far as I know don’t care f your grads slip a little, mostly if you get less than a C or your gpa drops significantly, not if you got a B or two and your gpa dropped from that, that shouldn’t be a problem

thank you so much for your replies  it helped
