Conditionally accepted Means...

hiii
one of the universities showed the status as "conditionally accepted".can anyone covey the exact meaning of the phrase " conditionally accepted".Am in

Basically, in general it means that your accepted as long as you keep up the work that your doing. If you screw up and get straight C's and get a D or something, they might rescind your acceptance, depending on which university you apply to. Just don't get arrested, fail your classes, or do anything else that your college may not like.

As long you keep up what your doing, you'll get in.

what about the aid thing?

Talk directly to the school for accurate info.

if you fail all your classes, they could rescind your application

For all 4 year colleges, regardless of how it is phrased, you are "conditionally" accepted. The conditions are: (a) you have to complete high school and send in final transcript and have to have completed any required courses for admission -- for example, if the college requires 4 years of English for admission you need to have that many years; (b) they can withdraw your acceptance if your final grades senior year are not what they expect to see, meaning bad enough that they will no longer want you; and (c) they can withdraw acceptance if they learn of any wrongdoing of which they were not informed at the time they made the decision to admit -- examples: they learn you made a material misrepresentation in the application; you are suspended from school or convicted a crime in last half of senior year; you applied and were admitted early decision and they learn you also applied early decision to another school.
