I am supposed to start school at Cal Poly in September of this year…but I got a D second semester of my high school’s AP Calculus AB class and I have no idea what is going to happen because of it. I passed 3 out of the 4 AP tests I took, Calc being the one I did not pass. Summer just hasn’t been enjoyable so far…and I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts as to what will happen, or what I should do.

Call Cal Poly and tell them your grades. Why wait?

if you've gone this far already without them saying anything it would be kind of abrupt for them to suddenly just say no wouldn't it? don't trust me with that though. but my friend earned a D as well & her school didn't mind & i know someone that happened to with AP physics as well. however they went to USF and UC Davis. So, I can't promise anything.

i also agree with dstark on calling them RIGHT AWAY. just in case & everything you know?

well, best of luck.

You should see if you can retake the class.

okay so i sent in my transcript along with a few letters of support. now, am i just supposed to wait to see if i get an official acceptance letter? has anyone received anything like that since their transcript was sent in?

Failed all my finals, but passed all my classes and still managed a 4.0 flat. Now that seniorities with skills =p

that helps....

so does anyone know what will be the official yes or no? some email, or piece of regular mail?

the same thing happened to me. check your admission status, what do you get?
