Conditions of Admission

Anyone know if the "B" average 2nd semester required for admission (after being accepted) gives any consideration to honors classes?

I have at least a B in all my non-honors, but a C in my 2 AP math courses, so i'm worried...

Thanks!

I think 3.0 weighted is what they expect.. but not so sure.

It's weighted. I called both UCI and UCSB to confirm this because my GPA for the first semester of this year was 3.00 exactly in the UC approved courses; Unweighted, it's 2.40. They're pretty lenient on senior year grades.

You've taken a big load off my mind.
Now I can grow to be the second semester senior I was meant to be!
Thank you all!

does anyone know if its a 3.0 average for both semesters? like if i got a 3.25 the first semester, could i get a 2.75 and still be ok?

also, non UC-approved courses dont count right?

I'm pretty sure its 3.0 per semester, not average.

wait, so they say that if you have anything lower than a "c", then you should contact them. i got a "c-" in one of my classes last semester but im planning on having a "b+" in that class second semester.
should i contact them or is it ok?

This is an easy one. The answer you get from this forum might be right, or it might be wrong. If you knew which it was you wouldn't have to ask, so its a toss-up. Suppose the forum says it doesn't matter, but actually it does. Then you're screwed, and not only that the longer you wait to get an official answer the fewer options you'll have left. There may be schools that still have openings right now, there are far fewer in Sept.

Seeing as how they say if you have anything less than a C to contact them, and you fall in that category, I'd suggest calling ASAP.
