Confirmation email/mail

Hey, did anyone apply JHU ED and have received the app confirmation from JHU adimission office? i applied like a month ago using commonapp and havent heard a thing from them.

I heard that they'll send out verification Nov 15, if I remember right, since it takes them time to process information. Not sure if that means we'll get notification on Nov 15 or they send it in the mail Nov 15.

But, I looked on the common app website and my application status changed from submit to download, which according to common app website means that they downloaded my application and its under review. I don't know if its really under review though or they just downloaded it to file the forms. I'm sort of hoping that they just filed it so far because today I sent an update on my application and hopefully it'll be read. Has anyone else noticed the change in status, and what day it changed? Mine said 11/07...

yeah, my commonapp says it has been downloaded on 11/07 too. I still havent received any confirmation letters yet but hopefully i get it soon

Hi,
I have applied using the JHU online app.... how do I come to know if the JHU office has "downloaded" my app or reviewed it? I still havent got the confirmation from JHU saying it has done so in my mail...

If you had contacted the Admissions Office, here is the answer you would have gotten:

Thank you for contacting Johns Hopkins University. As you can imagine, it's a busy time in the Admissions Office as we process application materials. Because of the volume of records being handled, we regret that it is not yet possible to confirm whether application files are complete or to identity which individual items have been received.

Johns Hopkins University does not have an online system for tracking application status. You will be mailed an acknowledgment postcard after your application is received and processed. Rest assured that application files are checked carefully for completeness. We will contact students whose applications remain incomplete. Those students will be given an opportunity to provide us with any missing items before we complete the evaluation of their applications.

Early Decision applicants may call the Admissions Office at (410) 516-8171 after November 30 to check if their application materials have been received. If you are a Regular Decision applicant please understand our priority is to process Early Decision applications first. That means your application may have arrived in our office but will not be processed for some time. Please be patient and know that we will confirm the receipt of your application once it is processed.

And finally, checking your status through the online application systems (JHU, Common App., or UCA) does not determine whether your application is complete and been processed.
