I submitted my USC app on Dec 1st but I still haven’t gotten an email from them saying they received it. I know it usually takes a few days but I feel that it’s been too long now. Anyone on the same boat? Should I email USC?
Every time we’ve wondered if we didn’t receive a conf email, it has been found in my son’s email. Yes, call, but only after checking your spam folder and searching your email to make sure you didn’t overlook it. Sometimes they almost look like promotional emails and can get overlooked.
I applied near Dec 2 and haven’t received an email either. (And no it’s not in my spam box.) I emailed them last Friday but (obviously) nothing yet. I just hope I’ll get something today.
edit: I was actually an RHP applicant so I applied to USC last year, so I already had my youSC account setup. I just checked it and it seems that they received my application. So your app is probably in; they just haven’t gotten around to emailing you, I think.
I just got an email today
@CAMidwestMom Thank you for the info, I checked everywhere in my email but I haven’t found anything from them.
@Bizziee Thank you, I’m just scared that they haven’t received it since they didn’t send me a confirmation email either, let alone the email with instructions on how to access their portal.
@cccrazy2016 When did you submit your application?
@nuimancel I applied the same day you did but didn’t receive the confirmation email yet. Did yours arrive yet??
@nuimancel The night before it was due haha
My email finally arrived!! I called and apparently it was because I didn’t turn something in.
@NYUDreamer1 Try going to you.usc.edu and registering for a new account using the email address you put when you applied. That’s what I did after I received the email, so I don’t think it will matter if you access the login portal before you get the email.
@Bizziee I applied for RHP this year…when did you find out last year?
@addiekwalker The same time as RD applications so around the end of March. But my portal didn’t show my admission decision so I had to email the counselor to get my rejection letter… lol
Best of luck!
I sent in my common app on December 1st at 11:00 PM PT but the system recorded it as December 2 at 2 AM ET. I know the website said they will consider apps based on the time zone you’re located in but I’m worried they might count it as late for the merit scholarships.
@collegecurious15 If you mean “the system” as in USC’s system, then you’re fine. It takes a while for Common App to process the applications and for the schools to receive them, which the schools know. As long as you turned it in on time, you’re good
