was i supposed to receive a confirmation email when i submitted my application for EA?

Last year I received notification via snail mail in early November once my transcripts arrived. I don't recall hearing from them via email.

I got a letter, but I applied many moons ago.

My daughter got an e-mail from ND stating they had received her on-line application. It also said they would contact her if any of the other things required had not been received. She has received nothing via snail mail and has not heard another word via e-mail. We know they are completely buried under applications right now, so we are also just crossing our fingers that everything needed for her EA application made it to ND on time!

I didn't get one of those, should i e-mail them?

If you are nervous it couldn't hurt

yeah, you should've received an e-mail after applying that said:

Hello Notre Dame applicant!

This email is to notify you that our office has received your submitted
on-line application for admission.

We will mail you a letter in the coming weeks indicating whether your
application is complete or whether it is incomplete and what items are
still missing from your file.

We appreciate your interest in Notre Dame!

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions
University of Notre Dame

I got a letter by regular mail a couple weeks later saying that my app was complete.

Wow, I definitely didn't get an email or letter from them. I'm really worried now. I just emailed admissions and I pray to God that my application was in safely!

Don't worry JubileeJumbles it took about 10 days to get the confirmation letter, 10 Days after the school stuff went in over a month after the app went in. How did you make out in the OCT Sat's ? Good Luck to you

its strange how u didnt get an email... did u apply online or by paper?

i applied online. i emailed admissions the other day about my application but still haven't recieved a reply.

ETA: i just looked at the page i 'printscreened' after submitting my application and it says word for word "this page serves as notification that your application was submitted successfully." i guess all is well, but it would help to hear it from admissions.

yea that's exactly what happened to me...Hopefully everything is allright

i called to make sure that my application was recieved in full... they were very friendly and let me know right away

still no email!

Daughter got a letter in the mail yesterday that said her 'application was complete and ready for review'. It also said that she would be sent a decision by 'mid-December'. She was to notify them if she had not received a decision by 'December 19'. It was a comfort to know all the "pieces" of the application arrived intact!!

why haven't i gotten anythinggggggggggg

Is it that if you applied on line you get an email and if you applied by paper you get a letter in the mail?

Never got an e-mail here, just a form letter about two weeks or so after everything was in.

Got a letter today. Which was strange because walking to the mailbox I was thinking to myself, "man it would be such a relief to get that letter from ND today!" and there it was, the first letter in the pile of mail.

"We are pleased to report that your application for admission is complete and ready for review."

Has anyone that applied to ND early action in 2010 received a letter confirming that their application is complete? Their website says we should receive one in the third week of November, but I have not received anything and I submitted my application in September.
