<p>In a previous thread someone mentioned that American will send out an email with a username and password that allows you to see the parts of your application that have been received. Has anyone else not yet received this email?</p>

<p>I didn't get the confirmation either. My app has been complete for months now waiting on RD.</p>
<p>Come to think of it, of all the colleges where I applied, American U has been the least communicative in terms of mail (e-mail, post cards, letters, phone calls) </p>

<p>Do any of you have an online "Prospective Student Portal" account that you can access through the American U. website? (Go to the website,click on "admissions", then click on the "undergraduate" link, and then there's a link to create a new portal account) When my daughter first checked out AU, she created her portal account, and that's what she's been using to check on the status of her application.</p>
<p>You can check your status in the prospective student portal online. I got a postcard about a week after I submitted my application confirming the receipt of it.</p>
<p>my d. received a holiday card, in dec. of her senior year from AU, thanking her for her interest. there were also letters and emails, and yes, the student portal, showing application completeness, as well as financial aid status.</p>
