Hey guys, I’ve received confirmation emails that my application has been received from a couple of schools but not from all of them. Is this something I should be worried about? Or do some schools not send these confirmation emails? (For reference, I’m applying to the more well-known schools if that makes a difference between whether or not they send emails)
We’ve received completion confirmation emails from Exeter, Andover, Deerfield, Hotchkiss, Loomis Chaffee, and Suffield. If you email the general admission address and ask them to confirm that your file is complete, I’m certain they will respond.
@26443586 We have only received a few confirmation emails. Several of the schools using Gateway seem not to send confirmation emails. From our experience, schools are not so keen on receiving confirmation calls at this point in the game (imagine if everyone called!). If the Portal (Gateway or otherwise) indicates your application is completed and you have no specific reason to doubt that it is, then it might be best to leave it as such. However, if there is doubt (for a particular reason) then a call might make sense, though as @MAandMEmom suggests, email may be preferable.
