well
now that i look back on it
i dont knwo what i was saying
but anyway
i personally think that saying that nyu not accepting students with under a 1300 (usually) is ridiculous. It would be ridiculous for them to accept someone under a 1200 (because when u take sat's the nyu average is quite a bit higher). Basically, when i read ur post about it being rediculous, the line after it says that the C-STEP program is for kids who score between a 1000-1300.
It kinda gave me the idea that u think kids with low sat's should be accepted as long as they have high gpa's...
like a could see a 3.95 and 1250sat kid ge tgsped

but in most all cases, i dont think they should normally accept a kid with a 4.0 and a 1100, especially since, most people can retake the tests (i doubt someone will be sick 3 times in a row of taking the test) but if someone does make it in with a really low sat, than great for them and i hope they really make the most of their education.

yeah
and cj
i do belive in exceptions (people having trouble with sat's)

im just saying

there could be some kid with a 5.0w or somethin (takes a ton of ap's)
the gpa looks great, but what if the kid got all 1's on jis ap test.

Basically
if u have a high gpa and low sat's, but ur school is good (ap's are a lot of work, and getting an A has to be earned) im understanding...
But im sure there are schools that are really crappy where kids get straight A's , and get low sat's, not because they are bad test takers, but because their school sucks and cant teach if their lives depended on it.

and i feel liek im goin in circles.

To CJ... SAT scores ARE a reflection of how smart you are ( Generally Speaking ). How many "Stupid" people have gotten 2200+s? And GPA is so biased thus they have STANDARDIZED tests. In one school a 4.0 is mad easy to get. In another, it's nearly impossible.

wow vbmaxx2

i just realized how badly i suck
U couldnt have said it better.
thanks :)

wait! NYU offers interviews?! i thought they didn't.

they don't offer interviews. does anyone see any truth in my theory though?
