Accepted! I live in NY

Congrats all! No mail yet here but DS portal updated to say CONGRATULATIONS! Woo hoo! Accepted to Engineering. Fin Aid package also online and decent. Not going to tell him-will have him get the mail. Hope it arrives today!

We are OSS-MD.

My portal updated saying I got in, except it said “Congratulations Ethan!” and my name is Matt. Very odd, but I refreshed and now it says Matt so all is well. Very funny though. Congrats to my fellow UDel acceptees!

My portal just updated too and it said “Welcome back Jonathan!”… That’s not my name… But I refreshed the page and it had the new message saying CONGRATULATIONS!

my niece got her packet today in the mail. Not sure of her stats but she was stronger than my daughter. Hoping she gets some nice $ my daughter got a small merit scholarship. We are in NJ

Has anyone international heard anything? My portal still has my status as “Applied.” I wonder if they’ve also mailed international applicant’s decisions. Of course snail mail would take longer to reach me though. I hate this waiting!

Saint, you should probably call or email. At other schools, internationals are notified earlier, because arrangements have to be made for visas, etc. You want to make sure your file didnt get lost.

Thanks, just took your advice. Hopefully I’ll get a reply soon!

Good luck!

Large envelope arrived in mail today but DS and I are now out of town. He still doesn’t know he got in because he wants snail mail notifications so I haven’t told him he got in via portal. He’s mellow about it; I’m the one overanxious!

I keep reading Chem E is one of UDs most competitive majors. What else is considered a competitive major at UD?

Chem E and Nursing have been reported by UD Admission staff as being the two most competitive majors for admission to UD.

S wanted ChemE but didn’t get in. I emailed admissions re how hard is it to transfer to ChemE major later but they haven’t gotten back to me. He won’t go if it is impossible.

You might also want to consider contacting the Department Head of Chem E and inquire about this to ensure you get accurate information. I am not sure if UD Admission’s is the best place to try and get a accurate answer to your question. Just a thought. Good luck.

Thank you, mwallenmd.

Found out I was accepted yesterday via the portal!
