I’ve heard talk about a green post card that they send out, but I’m not exactly sure when to expect it. I received the blue one like a week after I sent out my first part, but I sent out the full app over 2 weeks ago and still haven’t gotten any confirmation that everything is all set or the letter telling me that I’ve forgotten something… donno. just wondering if it normally takes this long, or if I should be worried or what. For ppl that HAVE received confirmation/ any kind of letter, how long did it take??

I sent my app online on October 31st and received the blue postcard last week. I received the green postcard, confirming that they had my entire application, on Monday. I wouldn't worry about it, you should probably get one this week.

I havent gotten a green postcard yet either - the blue one came in the mail about a week after I submitted part 1... when should i expect the green if i sent in the rest of my application on 10/28?

Hmm I actually decided to just call admissions, and the woman I talked to said that they only send out the green card if something is missing, otherwise you can assume it's all set if you've gotten the blue card and are definitely in the data base.

Edit: wait so adf8, did the green card say you had any issue with your app?? because she said thats the only reason you'd get one...

^ the green card has a big checkbox that tells you if your application is complete. If you app is missing stuff it also has smallar checkboxes for missing stuff. The lady you talked to is wrong.

Nope, it just said mine was complete. There is a box at the top that they can check that basically says "complete" or they can check the boxes for what's missing, so it appears as though they send out the green postcard regardless of whether they are missing part of the application. The 2 other people I know applying early also received green postcards, and their applications were complete. Was the person you talked to a student?

i haven't gotten anything yet

me neither - my dads flipping out more than i am tho. lol
i figure ill email my regional director. and if i dont get it by the end of the week, ill call the office and find out.

it's because they haven't received all parts of your app yet. it's fine though. they don't start reviewing your apps til about mid november, so about...now. lol. but it's because it had to be postmarked by November 1st, some teacher or cousnelor recs haven't been received yet. Also, SAT scores may not have been received because they take 3-5 weeks to get sent. (which is btw, really lame because if u rush them, it costs 35 dollars more and they send the scores in 2-3 days). I haven't gotten mine yet, but I called them, and they said that if they haven't received everything yet, then they'll send you an e-mail to tell you what's missing. She said that if you don't receive anything, then ur fine.

ok, so where can i find my regional director's email address.... ?
im searching but all i get is her phone number.

can i just use, for example, cguzman@upenn.edu or is it different?

nevermind, found it in the directory.

The person I talked to wasn't a student. It was orginally then she was like, here i don't really know the answer to that so I'll connect you to your regional admissions officer, and she was definitely like an older woman when I spoke to her. maybe how they send out the postcards/and or dont send out the postcards varies by region....??

like... KrnACxHunta when you say the person you talked to said "if you don't receive anything than you're fine" did she mean if you dont get a green post card, e-mail, or anything?? maybe that's the policy where we're from and not where these other guys are from...?
