Confirmed schedule!!!

I went to registration this morning and got my confirmed schedule. I have, in this order:

Period 0: Vocal Ensemble (this is the only one that's not confirmed because it's an audition-only group)
Period 1: Government/Economics
Period 2: Bible as Literature
Period 3: Intro to Philosophy
Period 4: Concert Choir
Period 5: Teacher's Aide
Period 6: Unscheduled
Period 7: Unscheduled
Period 8: Unscheduled
w00t.

wow ur only taking 5 periods r u a senior?

I have no confirmed schedule until i start September 6 i don't even get my school supplies till that day(They take ur money and go shopping for them)

Yes, I'm a senior. :) And I've taken a full schedule every other year so I will graduate with 260 credits (we're only required to have 220).

wow, you will have an easy year. congratulations. i am a senior also and all i need to graduate is one credit of pe, but i decided to just take advantage of the free school, lol.

^I would just take pointless classes...
Things that if my school allowed i could stop taking:
I have 4.5 yrs of math under my belt(Math A/Algebra 1 starts second half of 7th grade)
4 credits of Art..(2 performing arts 2 visual arts) but i don't take art ne more
English 4 yrs
3 yrs spanish(8th grade=hs spanish...9th i was exempt i took its 10th and 11th my school doesn't allow 12th grade spanish)
Science...
history...
so basically if i wanted to I could say see yah to hs

I could technically have just taken Government, Bible Lit and Philosophy and I would have been done. But I wanted the choir and the TA, so there we are.

what kind of ridiculous schedule is that???!!!!?!.....

there's no point for you to go to school.

The Government class I'm taking is actually a special class called International Negotiations, so that's an extra course load.

And Bible as Lit is the hardest English Elective you can take at my school without taking AP Lit (and I didn't want to take an AP because APUSH totally ruined AP's for me).

I'd really like it if people would stop being condescending towards me. Kthx.

HisGrace -- I read somewhere else that you don't go to a private HS. How can they offer Bible class at a public HS?

Because it's not a required course, it's an elective, and they offer other classes that you can take instead of it. :) For instance, I could have taken Film Analysis, AP Lit, British Lit...I think there's a few others but I'm not sure.

i hate u so much lol

lol what for? WHAT DID I EVER DO TO YOUUUUU?

cries

don't colleges look to see if you're taking a rigorous course load? lol...

I wish I had your schedule :-(

Either way I think I'll be fine. My counselor really likes me, and I think he would have told me if he thought it wasn't a wise choice.

Plus the courses I'm taking are all really good, solid courses (I'm speaking about the academic ones, obviously), and as far as the Teacher's Aide course...well who doesn't want to have a little bit of fun their senior year???

^ yeah never mind, I looked at your chances thread and saw the colleges you're applying to.

XD

I don't know whether to take that as an insult or not, but I won't. :)

Yeah I think if I were applying to different schools it would be different though, and the SLC that I'm in carries a lot of weight with CSU's.
