Is it poosible to give the deposit and confirm to more than one college ?
Actually I wan to attend this school but there is a chance that I do not meet their provisions for admission … can i go ahead and pay the deposit to another school as well so just incase they reverse my decision i have some college to go to ?

i dont think you can do that... read somewhere in an app package that the schools consider this 'unethical'.

I know several people who have done this because they don't have time to visit by 5/1. When you say no to one school, they will probably keep your deposit and then go to the waiting list. What is so bad about that after all the jerking around colleges do to kids these days?

i agree it may be unethical and stuff but i dont want to b left with no college to go to just incase this one college after accepting me reverses my decision...
are you sure nothing rong can happen if i do that???

Angel: Why don't you post your question on the Parent's Forum? They are the one's with the experience and the correct answers.

I don't understand your question, are you on the waiting list for one school and still awaiting a decision which could change your mind as to where you are going?

If so, it is perfectly fine to deposit to a school by May 1st and then change your mind if your first choice school takes you off the WL.

DIMA343- i have a provisional admission from one college, but since im studying in india and have already given by final exams (will get the result end may) there is a possiblity i do not meet the requirement so i dont want to risk being rejected by this college and having no other college to go to incase it happens...

ITSTOOMUCH- Thanks ill do that...

You can only confirm acceptance at one school. Schools are very specific in their writing that if you double accept you can lose your admission to both school. You can however accept at one school and remain on the waitlist at the second.

SYBBIE719- are you sure bout that ? since i called 2 unis yesterday and they said i cud do it but they wouldnt refund the deposit ...

I think your best bet would be to read the conditions of your intent to enroll as some schools specifically state that you cannot hold a spot at 2 schools

will do that .. thanks ...
