<p>Just a comment, UCSB and UCI are equally ranked by US News (tied for #44 nationally, #12 among publics), and academic quality between enrolled students is just about equal. Also, I lived in a frat house in UCSB (about as dirty as you can get) and on the end of the 6500 block of Picasso but never thought Isla Vista was dirty. Maybe Del Playa is, but otherwise I think it looks pretty nice. And the recent Pardall streetscaping project is making IV look even nicer.</p>
