Conflicted... TRIPLE MAJOR OR DOUBLE MAJOR WITH DOUBLE MINOR??

Hello,

I am currently a junior at a small, regionally well-known liberal arts school. I’m having a conflict about a couple options I have with my majors/minors. I am a semester ahead because I took summer school and have credits coming in from high school. I can technically graduate a semester (which would be a great reason to do but I can’t…), but I didn’t do very well academically my first two years of college so my gpa is very low.

My goal, whether it be reasonable or not, is to graduate with latin honors which requires at least a 3.50 GPA. Assuming this is my ONLY option (I’ve already decided to get honors no matter what it takes), I have a couple options for my majors and minors.

1.) My first option is Triple Majoring in Finance, Economics (with a thesis), and Spanish. I would have to take 18 hours (6 classes) and get ALL A’S (4.0) for the rest of my four semesters. The cons about this is that I have a suicide schedule but the pros are that I have some breathing room because I can get ONE B+ and still get a 3.50.

2.) My second option is double majoring in Finance and Economics (with a thesis) with a double MINOR in History and Spanish. I have to take 18 hours (6 courses) for 3 semesters and have some breathing room with one semester with only 15 hours (5 courses). The cons about this is that I MUST get ALL A’S in all classes but the pros to this is that it does give me a leeway with only 5 classes in the case of a REALLY TOUGH semesters. Also, I really have lost interest in Spanish because I really won’t need it for my career (law school) and I feel that I won’t become fully fluent even if I major in Spanish. I also feel that I always liked history and did well in it previously and it will help me in law school as it involves a good amount of writing and reading.

What should I do? thanks

Maybe I missed this, but…why not just not get anything in Spanish, then? Seems it’s cluttering up your schedule and making things difficult.

Because I only need to take 2 more classes to get a minor. Also, it is relatively easier to do well in than my other classes.

Why major or minor in Spanish if you have lost interest in it? Are you very close to a minor already? Why not just choose one major, one minor, and take a few interesting electives?

Also, because I would need to substitute them in with other classes in order to get a 3.50.

Yes @CheddarcheeseMN I only need 2 more classes to take to minor in Spanish and it is relatively easier to do well in than my other classes. Does the double minor option seem better?
