Hello! I'm planning to transfer to UCI (well, I'm applying to transfer out of UCR and into UCI, UCSD, UCLA, or UCSB) and I'm a bit confused on how I input AP credit for the application. UCR granted me a mess of AP credits for classes and I'm not sure if I should indicate that I received these credits on the courses page or the additional academic history page... I'm scared that if I listed them in the additional academic history page then the units won't be counted towards the 90 quarter units min. :/ Oh! And also, will the units won't transfer properly? As in the credits counted for UCR will be counted differently for UCI? :( (For example, I got a 3 on the AP CALC AB exam and UCR granted me 4 credits for MATH9A: First-Year Calc... Will UCI not give me the same credits for the same class?) Thank you for answering!

Don’t list them in Academic History. There is a section just for AP exam scores and that is where you should report your passing scores. The UCs know to count the credits from passing AP exams toward your unit count. The other UC will grant you credit according to its own AP credit policy. If you are getting UC-reciprocity, then you get a wholesale waiver for the GE (equal swap) so you don’t have to worry about the “change” between how you get credit from UCR vs. how you get credit from the other UC.
