Hello,
I recently took a BB Practice Test, and I didn't do so well on the Math portion; I ended up with a 480. So, I'm looking into buying some sort of Math book to help me out a bit. I've been looking through a lot of CCer posts about Gruber's Math, and they tend to range from praising Gruber's math to shunning it. I've read some posts that recommend Dr. Chung's Math, but I'm not sure if that would help me with my low score.
So would Gruber's work for me? I'd like to get my score up to at least a 650-700, if possible; I'm scoring 650+ on reading and writing sections, so I only really need help on math. Also, should I get the Gruber's Complete, or just the Math Workbook?

Thank you so much for your time,

Yes, Gruber’s is good. Go for it.

I scored a 550 my first time on the SAT math section, then a 570, and i took a mock SAT with a prep company and scored a 630.

I used Gruber’s since many people recommended it for math scorer’s 650 < .

It is really helpful and helps to breakdown all the different types of problems on the SAT.

Thank you both for your replies; I’m just ordered it.

Have a lovely day! :)

Definitely get Grubers. I used it to go from low 600’s to mid to high 700’s. And you only need the math workbook unless you want to use it for CR and W too because the math is pretty much the same in both books.

It was pretty useless for me, as a guy consistently scoring 600+ on math, it didn’t help me. The strategies they used are basic, so that’s not really doing it for me.
