I am hispanic and I have had many different people tell me many different things about how affirmative action will affect my chances at colleges so I am posting here hoping that someone will clear it up for me.

My top school right now is Cornell. Some people have told me that I am guaranteed to get in because I am Hispanic but others have told me that I have no chance.

Can somebody please chance me for:
Cornell
UPenn
Colombia
Dartmouth
RPI
Vassar
Wesylan
Wake Forest

I know I have a wide range of schools but I literally have no idea how affirmative action will affect me.

Also, out of curiosity, what would be the chances at Cornell for someone with my stats if they were white?

Thank you for replying

anyone...please?

in at all.

Lol you spelled Columbia wrong

You're qualified for those schools even if you weren't a URM. Being a URM can ensure a greater chance of getting into those ivies though. However, its definitely your actual stats that qualify you rather than your URM status which is usually only a factor when deciding between equally qualified candidates.

So do I have a chance at HYPS or will I just get made fun for asking that question?

^ Fair shot at HYPS I think, no harm trying (apart from the application fee and the time you spent on the applications, that is).
