I got a 700 on Writing, a 740 on Math IC and a 750 on Math IIC.
At first, I was very pleased with the scores. I was hoping to score in the 700s and I did.
However, then I looked at the percentiles of the scores. For the Math IC, I am in the 95th percentile. For the Writing, I am in the 78th percentile. For the Math IIC, I am in the 74th percentile.
The percentiles for the Writing and the Math IIC do not seem very good to me. I thought that I did well on the tests, but now am having some doubts.
Should I be concerned with the percentiles of my scores? Or can I relax knowing that I did well on the tests?
Please respond as soon as possible. In case I need to retake the Writing, the deadline is in a couple of days.

If you're applying to very top schools, trying to improve on the Writing can't hurt you. But make sure that the other parts of your apps are solid, e.g., essays.

well, the reason your Math IIC score was in a lesser percentile is because generally only the real geeks take it. and then they do very well. The people who would generally get a lesser score generally end up taking Math IC instead anyways

Thanks. I think it would be wise to to retake the Writing. However, I still am not sure whether I should retake any of the other tests. If it helps, here are some schools that I am interested in.

UC Santa Barbara
UC Davis
Pomona
Amherst
Stanford

Your scores are fine to excellent for the 2 UC's. I wouldn't focus on the percentiles too much. You have to realize that only a small group of college bound students take these tests, excepting Calif, and so the pool of test takers are very highly qualified.

However, you need 3 SATII's in different subject matters. Right now you only have 2. So you better sign up for another one, and retake the writing while you're at it just to see if you can up it a bit.

And btw, your scores are quite good, but if you plan on applying to any major school you should probably take another one because I don't think they will count both math tests.
