I have always been under the impression that pretty much all schools that want SAT Subject tests would either take a)the SAT Reasoning with Writing + SAT Subject tests OR b)the ACT with writing.

Under these beliefs I had planned to just focus on the ACT with Writing as my Standardized testing for colleges. But last night as I was looking through online information (particularly College Board) I became very confused and worried. It appeared as though colleges such as Cornell, Dartmouth, and Brown want the SAT Reasoning with Writing or the ACT with Writing as a base, and then on top of that it seemed that applicants are required to submit SAT Subject tests (regardless of which other test they submit; ACT or SAT).

So now I am very confused and worried. For these schools do I have to submit SAT Subject tests regardless of my choice between SAT Reasoning and ACT?

OR

Can I choose between a)the SAT Reasoning with writing plus SAT Subject tests and b)the ACT plus writing?

Thanks in advance for any help.
