Confused About Signing Up For Classes?

Hi. I’m an incoming freshman. I know that you are supposed to sign up for classes during orientation (or at least that is my understanding). I also know that many students recommend going to college professor rating websites before signing up for classes, so you know which teachers you want to have or avoid etc. I am confused about finding a list of courses I must take, and finding out the teachers available that offer that course. I want to be able to know the classes I have to take, find out which teacher’s teach that course, and then see the reviews on them. Can anyone tell me, what is the best way of going about all of this? Thank you so much in advance.

Go on BU Brain (bubrain.binghamton.edu), go to student tab, registration tab and look up classes.

Well, whats your major? You’ll probably want to take [YOUR MAJOR] 101, WRIT 111, Humanities Credit, [Maybe another Major Course, Maybe another GenEd Course]

Remember R = THURSDAY (confused me a lot)

I tried looking up classes on the BU Brain site. My major is linguistics and only a few classes are listed. Are the options incomplete? Or maybe a lot of classes won’t fall under the “linguistics” heading even if they count toward the major? I’ll be signing up for classes at Orientation (I’m a transfer), hopefully someone will be there to help me out. I also want to look up professors ahead of time though. How can I find out who to look up?
