Confused about Stanford Profile Questions

for the Stanford app, it has 300 word max profile questions like "What are you favorite newspapers, magazines and websites?" and "What were your favorite two events in the last year?"

What tone should I answer them in? Are they looking for a slice of me through creative writing, or do they just want straight forward answer?

i did mine pretty straightforward since they said that complete sentences weren't necessary.

I did half and half. I wrote the name, then wrote a short sentence of why I liked it.

I think it's 300 character, which means you can't write a whole paragraph.

Will you jerks please stop applying to Stanford.... I WANT TO GET IN!! lol!

I think I'm doing SCEA with Stanford, that way I can have a accept/reject letter back before I apply to a bunch of schools in December. Hopefully I get accepted, that way I can save money on reg. decision apps.

So…for the first one, the movies, authors, etc, should I try to name as many as possible, or be a little creative?
