Hi folks, fairly new to the forum and trying to launch our first kiddo, class of 2019. Add us to the list of hopefuls for a spot at Stanford!
We read through the standardized testing requirements but a little confused. My son recently took the SAT’s and scored a 760 in the math section but a 670 in the reading. The essay score was 19. We are awaiting scores on the SAT subject tests in Physics and Math II. He is planning on taking the ACT’s with writing in July. It looks like he needs to submit both of the standardized tests. If he were to do well with the ACT’s, I’m wondering whether he needs to retake the SAT’s to raise his reading score. What I’m asking is whether Stanford looks at the two types of tests as a whole or each standardized test individually.
