What exactly are they? Do you have to sign up for them? Do you take them right after you take a class? I need all the info since im new to all this stuff.

An SAT subject test (SAT II) is a standardized test that deals with specific subjects such as literature, biology, physics, world history, etc. Yes, you sign up on collegeboard.com The tests consist of multiple choice questions (no essays!). Most people suggest that you take the AP class before taking that particular SAT II. In addition, just to give you an idea of the difficulty of the tests, I’ll note that often times people will debate whether the World History SAT II (just an example) is harder than the AP test. If you have not take the AP course, you need to selfstudy. Most selective colleges require or recommend two subject tests. For more info…use google.
