Hey I am just really confused! So we make photocopies of our parent's 1040 and then have our parents sign the second page of it?? Then we can send it in...?

make a copy of their w-2s amd federal part of tax return and have them sign where it says sign here and mail the both of them in including the documents from the your finaid account where they ask for the tax returns

photocopy both ur 1040 and w-2.

my parents had the 1040A form, so on the bottom of page 2, where it says sign here, both of my parents signed there.

Staple both the 1040 and w-2s behind the parent tax return cover sheet, and send it in.

Dont forget to put ur name & EITHER ur SS# or PERM# on all of the photocopies.

Thank you very much!

WOAH! we had to send our parents 1040s in? i thought we could just do everything online!?!?!?

^

nope, ur fafsa means nothing without physical proof that wut u put on it was true, thats why there is an unofficial reward letter and not official.

Go to the UCSB application website, click Financial Aid Office -> check your aid status -> go to click “here” to continue -> use ur ucsbnetid and password and click 2009-2010 term -> go to tab 3 “required documents” and do wut it tells you.

I sent mine in a while ago…but it still says on the website that “The following documents need to be sent” or whatever it is.

How long does it take to process? After they get it…how soon do they send out the OFFICIAL fin aid letter?

^ They said it might take three weeks to update >.<

“They said it might take three weeks to update”

Oh really? Well thank you for that info. I can just see myself freaking out next week wondering if my thing got lost in the mail. Haha.

^ it might, but not for me, it only took them about 5 days

if you personally bring it in, it’ll take 10 minutes

^ totally would do that, 'cept I live 2 and a half hours away. Gah!

I should have just brought it in. It still hasn’t updated.

Once it’s updated, do we know right away what our OFFICIAL fin aid will be?

^ good question, I gotta know asap. I’m sending my documents in on Monday.

once it is received, your official finaid letter will be released after appx 2 weeks

Comeoooooonnn process it! haha

OMG! yes!

“The documents you submitted were reviewed. If there are no conflicts in your residency status or grade level, you will be notified by email in approximately two weeks that your financial aid eligibility has been determined and posted.”

K now I have to wait two more weeks?! Ughhh. I’m so impatient.

Lucky I still gotta send mine T_T how long did it take for them to process it?

I’d say a week to a week and a half.

Grr, I am so impatient

^Same here. It’s okay.
