Confused about the "major courses"

So I'm doing really well (A's and Bs') in all but one of my classes. The one class I've got a bad grade in is Language (Italian) I was curious upon reading my catalog page. What exactly is meant by "Students are required to maintain an overall average of “C” (2.0) or better in major courses."

Are the 'major courses' ones that are specific to your degree (like the core requirements. For me those are film classes/writing classes) or is it everything on the page? (I.E. Language included).

I'm a cinema studies major if that helps at all.

I'm just really curious because I'm worried I may get a D (of some sort) in my italian class. I want to know if I do must I take it again to graduate?

Youre correct. Major courses are the classes specific to your degree. That’s why your major GPA is different from you cumulative GPA.
