So you have to have thirty semester units to apply for TAG. Does that mean they have to be completed? Will it count if you're in progress to completing over the thirty unit requirement?

And do AP units contribute to the thirty unit benchmark?

You must have at least 30 units completed in order to submit a TAG. This may not be the only requirement, so check the University’s TAG requirements.

Well that’s disappointing. I’ll be short a few units.

Oh well. That means I won’t be able to TAG with UCSD, but hopefully I won’t need it since I’m also aiming for Berkeley and UCLA (you know, schools without TAG).

1.) You have to have thirty UC transferable units completed at a community college in order to apply for TAG in the Fall. Neither in progress nor AP units count.

2.) You need sixty UC transferable units in order to complete the transfer by the end of the Spring. These units can come from APs and other four-year institutions.

It’s bogus that the UCs are so picky about the first thirty units for TAG, yet the last thirty can come from anything. Whatever. I decided that I am going to pursue the extra necessary units anyway. It just means that I will have to take two classes in the winter session instead of one, and in the Spring I’ll have to take a five unit science + lab combo. (Really wanted to take Astronomy but it’s only a four unit class with the lab.) :(

did you not read my post?..like AT ALL.
call ucsd themselves, everyone posting ITT is simply repeating what others are saying.
talk to the admissions counselor directly, I did and I heard the complete opposite of what these rumors consist of.

if you look at the matrix that Ferrari4xd posted, (for the ucsd bit) it says that the 30 uc transferable units need to be finished in order to submit tag, but it doesn’t say that they have to be from a ccc.
if you look at irvine’s requirement, it clearly states that those 30 uc transferable units need to done at a ccc.

Yes, but on that website; it does not specifically state it has to be finished BEFORE the tag now does it?
and btw, have you bothered to call up them yourself in order to prove your point?
I’m gonna say it’s safe to say you haven’t while I have and I am going to proceed by that.
All you’re doing is repeating hearsay.
